Sure I Believe That… I’m Just Not Sure Why…

Many Christians know what they believe but are perhaps less certain about why they believe. This is especially the case on matters where Christians themselves can disagree: for example, baptism, the work of the Holy Spirit, and the canon of the Bible. The elders at Cornerstone want the congregation to be as informed about the Christian faith as possible and to be able to offer a reason for belief when called on to do so. This is why our Sunday School hour for adults is currently devoted to topics which often provoke the response, ‘Sure I believe that….I’m just not sure why!’ Subjects covered include baptism, the Holy Spirit and the reason why the Bible contains the books it does and no others. Please join us at 10 am each Sunday for good teaching and lively discussion of these and other matters.

Here at Cornerstone, it is our privilege to care for your children.  We have a fully staffed nursery to care for the young ones during both our morning and evening worship services, as well as during our morning Sunday School time.  Sunday School is from 10 – 10:45 each Lord’s Day, and our classes are as follows.

PreK and Kindergarten (Ages 3-5) in Room 1
Primary grades (1st and 2nd) in Room 2
Junior grades (3rd – 5th) in Room 3

In addition to Sunday School, we have special Children’s Club and service events throughout the year.  For more information about our children’s programming, please contact Anna Dahlvang, our Children’s Ministry Coordinator, at

Cornerstone’s Youth Group meets during the school year on Sunday mornings for Bible Study.  Other special events take place from time to time during the year.  Please watch the Cornerstone website for more information.

Our aim at Cornerstone Presbyterian Church is to enable the women of our church to grow in their faith through opportunities to study the Word, serve other believers, and reach out to a hurting world.  The women of Cornerstone also provide various supports to those who are in need, such as meals for new moms and the sick. Our Hospitality ministry involves organizing church dinners, after morning service lunches and weekly after service refreshments.  For fellowship and outreach we plan various activities including an annual Christmas Banquet, morning teas and showers for brides and new moms.

In addtion to the discussion group, Cornerstone hosts men’s breakfasts as announced, with social events and work projects in between.  For schedule and details, send mail to or call the church office
